Letter to the editor- Heroic acts from strangers
To the editor:
In memory of all those who are heroes as well as all those who have been heroes in our lives … God Bless You … with many thanks … America.
Who are these people who act heroic each day? Giving of themselves in so very many ways …
Risking their lives in hopes to save others, caring for a stranger as if they were a sister or a brother …
Who are these people we call heroes who comfort and help us in our times of need? The ones who take courage and trust in God’s seed, who help us in times of danger on to the end; the ones we can truly look into their eyes and say, “Thank you, my friend …”
They are the firemen, the doctors, the unknown servants with names, who answer an inner call within them that acts in love and yet still remains courageous to the end. They are the unknown heroes we need, but recognize and give thanks to, for we never really know who will be next to answer a call of distress. It could be me or it would be you …
In remembrance of all the New York and other firemen who have done all that they do each day, risking their lives to save others … thank you!
