Letter to the editor- No soul for human clone

To the editor:

Cloning of humans is almost a reality, but one important subject keeps being overlooked. A cloned human being won’t have a soul, the all-important ingredient in the mix. Each of us has a soul, something no scientist can or ever will be able to give us. Without a soul, humans would be automatons. Our individualized soul is the source of our intelligence, feeling, awareness, uniqueness.

Animal clones, lacking a spiritual spark, are nothing more than DNA replicas. All animal experiments have been abysmal failures and will continue to be so. Will humans fare any better?
