Letter to the editor- No tourists, then no jobs

Carson Lukas
South Lake Tahoe

Is it the tourists’ or lodging owners’ fault that the city of South Lake Tahoe spends money they do not have?

A $2 million shortfall reflects very poor management – visions of grandeur, and needs to be addressed through elections. What happens if your business, or your family for that matter, overspends? You tighten your belt! You stop reckless spending! It’s easy to spend someone else’s money … wouldn’t that be fun. Easy come, easy go. I am tired of being a scapegoat for this city’s incompetence. People of South Lake Tahoe, open your eyes – vote for council people who care about your money – no tourists, no jobs; it all trickles down.

A $2 million shortfall – heads should roll! From the top, not the bottom!
