Letter to the editor- Thankful that Jimmy is alive

To the editor:

During this Thanksgiving and holiday season I want to tell everyone what our family is thankful for. We are thankful that our son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend, Jim McGeehan, is alive, thankful for his will to survive and his desire and ability to rehabilitate his body and mind.

We are thankful and extremely grateful to the family and friends that we have not yet met, who prayed, traveled, visited, worked, organized, sent 3-mails, inquired, wrote letters and offered encouragement. We are especially grateful to the fine establishments in Ft. Washington, Germantown, South Lake Tahoe and Sea Isle City, who hosted unbelievably successful fund-raisers, all for Jim from Glenside, Pa.

We are also thankful to all the businesses and individuals from all these communities who readily offered raffle donations and their time and money, which made the fund-raisers the huge successes that they turned out to be. The individuals and businesses who helped our family are so numerous that this newspaper couldn’t hold all the names of the wonderful people involved. Our Thanksgiving and upcoming holidays have true meaning in what our family is thankful for. Thank you so very much. God bless you and God bless America.

The McGeehans
