Letter to the editor- Two sides of cycling issue

To the editor- I’d just like to take a moment and thank Tom Wendell for his very informative letter regarding cyclists/motorists and the use of existing roadways/pathways in and around Lake Tahoe. He pointed out some very viable solutions, and showed that the coin has two sides when explaining a cyclist’s and a motorist’s viewpoint. After the recent America’s Most Beautiful Bike Ride, and some of the disregard to stop signs and stop lights showed by some of the cyclists, it would appear that the quickest solution is for current law enforcement to treat these rogue cyclists like auto drivers and ticket them for their infractions. Maybe this would wake the uncaring cyclists up?
