Letter to the editor- We are a nation of true heroes

Meggan M. Clark
South Lake Tahoe

In light of the recent terrorist attacks on the United States, not only as a nation but as a human race, I feel nearly helpless and terrified of what is to come. In the 19 years God has shared this world with me I have experienced nothing as shocking as what took place on Tuesday.

However, as my world, as well as millions of others’ was thrown into turmoil, I am amazed by the heroes who are emerging from all around us. We are a country of heroes and we will remain the land of the free and the home of the brave forever. I wish there was a way to thank the heroes in our skies, who bravely gave their lives to save a small piece of our nation. America our twins will never die if we keep our spirit alive.

Our tears will dry and our hearts will be repaired, but we will forever be thankful for this reminding us of our need for each other.
