Letter — Trash company lines are silent

Why is it that South Tahoe Refuse Co can’t pick up trash on the same day UPS makes deliveries? Tuesday, the 17th was my regular day, but no pick up, however UPS made a delivery.

As your reporter pointed out, calls to South Tahoe Refuse went unanswered. Seems like they could put a recording on to inform people what the next pick up day will be! It’s like waiting in those traffic holds without knowing how long you’re going to wait.Keep us informed and there won’t be agitated people! Saw barrels out for days torn into by critters & spread all over. Would we assume to get credit for missed pick ups, seeing that we have to pay extra to take it to the facility? And of coarse, when people are gone & don’t need the pick up, thats a one way street also! How nice to have a monopoly & be able to ignore your customers.
