Line equals county voice

Editor’s note: The following letter is addressed to the El Dorado County Board of Supervisors and appears here at the author’s request.

To the editor:

Please, I implore you, do not extend District 5 down to include Pollock Pines. In Pollock Pines there are 13 mobile home parks. Extending District 5 swould mean the residents in these mobile home parks, approximately 800, would have “no” representation at all in El Dorado County. However, there are 20 mobile home parks in South Lake Tahoe with approximately 1,340 residents. Certainly some of thee are in the city of South Lake Tahoe; however, they are still part of El Dorado County and they have no representation. Supervisor David Solaro has been very open with his prejudice toward seniors and Latinos who live in mobile home parks. These people need help, not rejection.
