Terrorists will learn we fight back

Just as the English did in the days, weeks and months following Sept. 11, 2001, the Americans stand in solidarity with England following terrorist bombings Thursday that ripped through London, killing dozens of innocent civilians and injuring hundreds more.

To Western civilization, terrorists’ attacks make little sense and only embolden our efforts to rid the world of them. Like a cancer, terrorists destroy families, hurt communities and instill fear. By targeting innocent people, people who have little connection to global economics or politics, the groups that use terror compromise their own causes. Their political grievances do not deserve consideration when they use these tactics to achieve their goals. Any group that would kill randomly is not a player on the world stage. They deserve only to be punished.

The civilized world should not have to endure this type of pain, as it did on Sept. 11, during the Madrid train bombings, and in London on Thursday. America will stand next to England during this time of grieving, and will fight with England in routing out the masterminds of these bombings, and future would-be killers.
