To the editor – SR28 parking… Work together

To the editor- In response to the May 29 article, “Environmentalists upset about NDOT decision on parking,” I can’t help but comment on League to Save Lake Tahoe attorney Dave Roberts and his printed comment, “It defies logic, really.”

Mr. Roberts is obviously upset that NDOT will not obstuct the public’s right to access public lands.

I have attended years of meetings as a Tahoe Area Naturist and East Shore recreationist. The League to Save League is opposed to the limited expansion of the existing parking lot’s on SR 28, and therein lies the problem. We at TAN (Tahoe Area Naturist’s) will continue to work for a solution amiable to all parties, while protecting the public’s right to reasonable access, to it’s own lands. We invite the League to join the team and work for a reasonable solution the the problem.
