Opportunity for local contractors to bid on sign installation

Tahoechamber.org is looking for local contractors to prepare and submit an estimate to build support frames and install new Wayfinding signs.

Tahoechamber.org has been working with the city of South Lake Tahoe, Caltrans and El Dorado County to create and install a Wayfinding signage program within the jurisdictional boundaries of both the city of South Lake Tahoe and the unincorporated portions of South Lake in El Dorado County. The goal of the project is a clear and safe set of signs with a consistent visual identity from beginning to end. The city of South Lake Tahoe led the communications with Caltrans and an encroachment permit has been issued for the project along with a new set of standards for Wayfinding signage programs in the state of California.

Bids for completing the sign brackets and installation are due to Chamber CEO “B” Gorman by 5 p.m. April 6. Installation is scheduled to be completed prior to the Amgen Tour of California being hosted by the region in May of this year.
