Optimist Club to host ‘Christmas in Tahoe’

The Optimist Club will host a “Christmas in Tahoe” event Saturday and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. at the Optimist tree lot at the corner of Lakeview Avenue and Lake Tahoe Boulevard.

The event was inspired by a traditional German Christmas festival called Christkindlesmarkt, and will feature crafts, food, music and other activities.

Santa will be there for gift requests, and children’s choirs will perform throughout the day. Popcorn and hot chocolate will be offered.

For information, call the tree lot at (530) 542-5060.
