Ora Louise Hord

Ora Louise Hord died Saturday, Sept. 10, 2005, in Sacramento. She was 89.

Ms. Hord was born May 2, 1915, in McKinleyville, Calif. She attended school in Glen Ellen, Calif., and lived in Sacramento and South Lake Tahoe. She was very active with the South Lake Tahoe Senior Center.

Services will be Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at McFarlane Mortuary, 887 Emerald Bay Road, South Lake Tahoe.

Ms. Hord was preceded in death by her mother, Maebelle Gertrude Brower, father Jason Waggoner, sisters Ethel Waggoner, Ruby Crochett, and Emma Mace.

She is survived by her daughters Arlaen (and son-in-law George) Dubois of Albuquerque, N.M., Donna (Richard) Landis of Sacramento, and son Sandy Hord of South Lake Tahoe.

She is also survived by brothers Shirley (Lucy) Bartow and Russell (Sue) Waggoner and sister Betty Ordahl.

She is also survived by five grandchildren Dione (Rick) Colon, George (Jennifer) DuBois, Christina (Bulent) Bas, Debbie Morrison and Karry Hill, six great-granddaughters and numerous nephews and nieces.
