A pair of DJs will kick off the weekend at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Lake Tahoe.

DJ Chris Payne is set to play in the casino’s Vinyl venue, and DJ Chango plays Hard Rock’s Center Bar. Both shows are free on Friday and start at 10 p.m.

“A Southern California native who calls Northern Nevada home, Chris has been a radio personality shortly after he graduated from high school,” according to a description from Hard Rock. “His parents raised him on everything from hi-fi rock and roll to the funk that disco tapped into for its sound. He has the creativity to play to his audience and makes the whole room come alive with his dynamic sound. His mantra: Respect others, and receive the same tenfold.”

DJ Chango lives at Lake Tahoe and primarily plays house music, although he prides himself on versatility.

“Many different styles of music influence his sound from hip hop, to house, funk and soul. Chango adapts his style to the crowd that he is playing for,” according to Hard Rock. “Chango has shared the stage with such musical legends as Mark Farina, Christopher Lawrence, Scumfrog, Pumpkin, Fort Knox Five, Rick Preston, Galen, Jon Lemmon, E.B.E and many more. ‘I love house music because of the beautiful and positive energy that it creates on dance floors.’”

Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Lake Tahoe is located at 50 U.S. Highway 50 in Stateline.
