Paperball fight broken up

Two freshmen got on a bus unnoticed at South Tahoe Middle School and proceeded to start a paperball fight, which caused the driver to pull over and ask help from authorities, an El Dorado County sheriff’s deputy said.

A deputy responded to the corner of Jicarilla and Susquehana drives Monday to detain the two 14-year-olds.

n Two wakeboards and a stereo were stolen from a Chevy Suburban at Lakeland Village when somebody pried the driver door handle off, a South Lake Tahoe police officer said.

n A 22-year-old Concord man was arrested on drunken driving charges early Wednesday morning when an officer saw his Chevy Caprice swerving and headlights turned off along Lake Tahoe Boulevard, a South Lake Tahoe police officer said.
