Parking changes near Eagle Falls

Stream bank restoration has closed half a parking lot and a part of the picnic area at Eagle Falls on State Route 89 until Sept. 20.

Work on the banks of Eagle Creek began Tuesday. Repairing an eroded section of the bank and putting plants into the soil means using heavy equipment and piling boulders.

Besides the area of the parking lot and picnic area that will remain open, visitors can access the Eagle Falls Trailhead as well as the restrooms next to the parking lot.
