Party ready for Oscar night

David Walley’s Hot Springs and Lake Tahoe Pioneering in Film Festival will celebrate “A Night at The Oscars” beginning at 5 p.m. March 25. The event sold out last year.

The annual fund-raiser for the Lake Tahoe Film Festival features a buffet-style dinner and the cost is $28.50 per person, plus tax and gratuity. The price includes wine with dinner, drawings, silent auction, “celebrity emcees,” prize giveaways and the Academy Awards broadcast on five televisions.

All drawing proceeds go toward the second Lake Tahoe Pioneering in Film Festival set for April 6, 7, and 8. This year’s festival celebrates the best comedies of the century from The American Film Institute’s “100 Years … 100 Laughs.”

A credit card will reserve a seat at “A Night at The Oscars.” Call (775) 782-8155, Ext. 8953 for reservations. For film festival passes, call (530) 577-7770.
