Patriot Day memorial set

American Legion Post 795, 2748 Lake Tahoe Blvd., will remember Sept. 11, 2001, with a memorial service on Patriot Day. The service will begin at 11 a.m. today at the Legion parking lot.

The American Legion says that the American flag should be flown at half-mast from sunrise to sunset on Sept. 11.

The public is invited to attend to honor the firefighters and police officers who died on 9/11. The American Legion will also honor all military men and women. Cake and coffee will be served after the service.
