Pen Women sponsor open mic night

The Lake Tahoe Branch of The National League of American Pen Women will meet at 6 p.m. Feb. 12 at the Strange Brew coffee house, 2660 Lake Tahoe Blvd., Building “E,” Town and Country Shopping Center.

The organization of professional writers, musicians and artists will sponsor an Open Mic Night beginning at 7 p.m., when the public is welcome to join in. There is no admission. Everyone is welcome to present their own poetry, stories, art and music or they may share the work of other authors.

In addition the musical group, “Dream Spirit Baroque Band,” comprised of hammered dulcimer, recorder, violin, cello and guitar, will entertain with a variety of music including Celtic.



Strange Brew offers soup, salads, sandwiches, including a special Italian Panini, as well as quiche, cheese cake and a large selection of designer coffee and tea, juice and hot

chocolate.
