Pen Women
The public is invited to attend a discussion of the role of online media and community journalism on March 5 at Bona Fide Books in Meyers. Kathryn “Kae” Reed, publisher of Lake Tahoe News, an online daily news source that she started Labor Day weekend 2009, will present the program.
Hosted by the Lake Tahoe branch of the National League of American Pen Women, the evening will include wine and light snacks. There is no charge to attend.
The event will begin at 7 p.m. at Bona Fide HQ, 1069 Magua St., No. 4, off Highway 50 behind the Getaway Cafe.
Although Pen Women is an organization for women, men are welcome.
The National League of American Pen Women is an organization comprised of women writers, artists and musicians, whose purpose is to foster creativity in our members and in the community, to provide support to women engaged in letters, arts and music, and to serve as a community resource in the arts. It was founded in 1897 as an alternative to the all-male Press Club.
