Permit counter closed

Staff Reports

The permit counter in the city of South Lake Tahoe services center will be closed Thursday from noon to 5 p.m. for installation of new software.

The building, planning, engineering and administrative staff will still be able to be reached by the lobby telephone. Permits will not be issued during this time.

Public Services Director Teri Jamin said the new software will help increase the efficiency of the permit process in the future.

“Last September, the council approved purchasing building permit software to streamline our permitting process,” Jamin said. “This is the first of three installations of the program to gauge if any changes need to be made to the program prior to going online.”

The services center is located at 1900 Lake Tahoe Blvd.
