Pet food bank needs donations

When people go hungry their pets do, too. Donations may be made to the local emergency and charitable pet food bank, which is maintained by the Lake Tahoe Humane Society and S.P.C.A. with help from individuals and businesses.

Drop off brand name dog, puppy, cat and kitten cereal at the Humane Society Shelter by appointment or request a pickup by calling (530) 577-4521. Pet food also may be taken to the Great Outdoor Clothing Company in the Factory Stores at the “Y.” Great Outdoor Clothing Company is open seven days a week and may be called at (530) 541-0664.
