A piano player and singer who was once awarded Pop Vocalist of the Year by the San Francisco Concerto Orchestra returns to South Shore’s The Loft Theatre this week.

Jimmy Hopper plays two shows July 20, one at 7:30 p.m. and one at 9:30 p.m., at the Heavenly Village venue.

Hopper has been a regular performer in Las Vegas, starting with rock ballads and taking to opera while in Sin City.

“When National Enquirer invited readers to meet ‘the hottest unknown performer in America,’ it was only a matter of time before Jimmy Hopper would make his Journey of the Heart, one which would reach far beyond his popularity in the showrooms and other major venues of Las Vegas,” according to a press release for Wednesday’s shows.

“Jimmy Hopper delivers a high-energy inimitable evening drawing fans of all ages. He sings the soundtrack of our lives in perfect pitch. His show is the ultimate tribute to the music of our time. As Ron Taft of Ron Taft Productions/Los Angeles summed it up, ‘Jimmy Hopper…the most amazing voice you’ll ever love!’”

Tickets to each the shows are $29 plus fees and can be purchased at http://thelofttahoe.com, http://eventbrite.com and at The Loft Box Office.

The Loft Theatre is located in Heavenly Village near the corner of Bellamy Court and Heavenly Village Way in South Lake Tahoe
