Plan for the ‘Y’ under review
November 9, 2005
The South Lake Tahoe Planning Commission will review the “Y” land-use plan at 1 p.m. today in Council Chambers, 1900 Lake Tahoe Blvd. The city planning staff is recommending the panel select a preferred alternative that highlights the design of the area where highways 50 and 89 intersect.
A resident group of stakeholders has spearheaded the vision of the region, and the city’s redevelopment agency has recently discussed determining boundaries of a new redevelopment area like that near Stateline. The first step is pending, as the city plans to meet with interested parties on the proposal.
