Planning Commission regulations recomendation issue due today

Sarah Gonser

In a push for simplicity and one-stop shopping, the South Lake Tahoe Planning Commission will determine Wednesday whether to recommend revisions to land use regulations to the South Lake Tahoe City Council.

The purpose of the amendments would be to reduce duplication, clarify and streamline zoning laws, and the permit process between the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency and the city.

The amendments would also allow TRPA to delegate certain project approval duties to the city by creating a one-stop permit counter.

“Our ultimate goal is to simplify the permit process for the applicant,” said Rick Angelocci, TRPA’s chief of project review.

What: City of South Lake Tahoe Planning Commission meeting

When: March 10 at 6 p.m.

Where: City Council Chambers, 1900 Lake Tahoe Blvd.
