Play Ball: Boys & Girls Club baseball program begins Monday

It’s time once again for the Junior Giant program at the Boys & Girls Club of Lake Tahoe. Girls and boys from the ages of 5 to 16 are invited to join the teams. Teens will gain experience as coaches for the program.

The program builds leadership, teamwork, confidence and integrity. There are no try outs, it’s free and everyone plays. Uniforms and mitts are provided. Kids participating don’t have to belong to the Boys & Girls Club.

Join us for the kick off day on July 5. The season starts on July 12 and all games and practices will be held at the Boys & Girls Club Campus at 1100 Lyons Ave. Participants will earn a ticket to a San Francisco Giants game later in the summer.

For information, contact Shannon Simmons, director of programs and services, or Paula Peterson, outreach coordinator, at (530) 542-0838. More information is at http://www.bgclt.org.
