Police arrest shooting suspect

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – Police arrested Alejandro Martinez, 28, in connection with a Friday night shooting on Julie Lane.

Martinez, a South Lake Tahoe resident, was booked into El Dorado County Jail on charges of attempted murder.

This arrest was the result of an ongoing investigation into a shooting police believe happened about 8 p.m. on the 1000 Block of Julie Lane.

The shooting sent a 26-year-old South Lake Tahoe man to the hospital with a head wound.

Following a report of the shooting, officers contacted the victim and discovered he had what appeared to be a “grazing” wound to the head, said Lt. David Stevenson.

The victim was treated Barton Memorial Hospital and released.
