SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – South Lake El Dorado Narcotics Enforcement Team members arrested three women on suspicion of prostitution during an online sting operation the night of Jan. 20.

All three woman, ages 22 to 41, had placed advertisements on undisclosed web sites offering female escorts, Catchings said.

Each of the women was arrested after allegedly arriving at a stateline area hotel and offering sexual favors in exchange for money.

At least one of women had advertised she was underage, Catchings said.

The narcotics task force does not typically conduct such operations, but did so at the request of county prosecutors, Catchings said.

He said it is likely they will conduct similar operations in the future.
