Police identify body found in lake

Adam Jensen / Tahoe Daily Tribune

Police have identified the man whose body was found submerged at the South Shore of Lake Tahoe this week.

A boater discovered the body of Stateline resident Roy Ricord, 31, under about 10 feet of water at Ski Run Marina near the Tahoe Queen paddlewheeler on Thursday morning, Lt. Marty Hale said in a statement released Friday.

Although an autopsy has been completed, police have yet to determine all of the facts surrounding Ricord’s death, Hale said.

Toxicology results on Ricord could take six to eight weeks, Hale said.

Police ask anyone with information about Ricord to contact South Lake Tahoe Police at (530) 542-6110.
