Police investigate shooting on Bonanza Avenue

Police are investigating a shooting that took place Wednesday, June 27, on Bonanza Avenue in South Lake Tahoe.

About 8:55 p.m., police responded to a report of gunshots being fired from vehicles in the area of 1100 Bonanza Avenue. When police arrived, they were not able to locate any suspects or victims, according to a press release from the South Lake Tahoe Police Department. Witnesses reported that two vehicles were seen in the area and they suspected the gunshots came from one or both of the vehicles. They also reportedly heard what sounded like males yelling before the shots were fired.

Police were able to locate evidence that multiple people were involved in a verbal fight and that several gunshots were fired. At this time, no one has been reported as being injured in the fight, police stated.
