Police Report: Nose possibly broken during alleged attack by teenage girl
Just after 3 p.m. Friday, South Lake Tahoe police responded to a report of battery at the intersection of Sonora and Birch avenues.
A 16-year-old girl allegedly attacked a second 16-year-old girl shortly after she exited a school bus near the intersection. The victim’s nose was “red and swollen,” and possibly broken, said South Lake Tahoe police Lt. Marty Hale.
The alleged victim was taken by ambulance to Barton Memorial Hospital.
The suspected assailant was arrested just before 5 p.m. and taken to the El Dorado County Juvenile Treatment Center in South Lake Tahoe, Hale said.
— South Lake Tahoe police responded to a report of vandalism to a Sierra Tract property at 2:35 p.m. March 2. Someone had spray-painted “Locals Only” across the front door of a vacation rental in the neighborhood, police records indicated.
— At about 2:15 p.m. Saturday, the El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a vehicle burglary in the parking lot at Heavenly Mountain Resort’s California Base Lodge.
After skiing, a man found the rear passenger window of his Honda Civic smashed. A backpack containing a Canon camera, valued at $2,800, was missing from the vehicle. Detectives are reviewing the incident, according to a deputy’s report.
