Adam Jensen

Just after 3 p.m. Friday, South Lake Tahoe police responded to a report of battery at the intersection of Sonora and Birch avenues.

A 16-year-old girl allegedly attacked a second 16-year-old girl shortly after she exited a school bus near the intersection. The victim’s nose was “red and swollen,” and possibly broken, said South Lake Tahoe police Lt. Marty Hale.

The alleged victim was taken by ambulance to Barton Memorial Hospital.

The suspected assailant was arrested just before 5 p.m. and taken to the El Dorado County Juvenile Treatment Center in South Lake Tahoe, Hale said.
