Police seeking information on shots fired off Pioneer Trail

On Tuesday, Oct. 3, around midnight South Lake Tahoe Police Department received several 911 calls about someone shooting a firearm in the 3900 block of Pioneer Trail.

Upon arrival, officers discovered evidence that a semi-automatic handgun was shot several times at that location. According to witnesses, two Hispanic males in theirs 20s with short dark-colored hair pulled into a parking lot of a nearby business in a gold Ford Excursion or Explorer and began firing shots.

Officers searched the premises for potential suspects but found none; however, through the course of the investigation officers have identified two people that are considered “investigative leads.”

No arrests have been made at this time, and the investigation is ongoing.

Anyone with information about this case should call the South Lake Tahoe Police Department at 530-542-6100. To give an anonymous tip, call Lake Tahoe Secret Witness at 530-541-6800.
