Politics and cookies at meeting tonight

Douglas County Republican Central Committee will conduct its monthly meeting today at the Douglas County lake offices, 175 Highway 50, Stateline.

A social with coffee and homemade cookies will be served from 6:30 to 7 p.m. From 7 to 7:30 p.m. “Talking Points” under the direction of JackVan Dien will be held. Usually one or two topics will be highlighted, and members can voice their concerns. Chair Maggie Benz will call the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. Guest speaker is Regent Ron Knecht, District 9.
