Pop Warner board for 2008 elected

South Tahoe Pop Warner recently elected its executive board for the year. Leading the group are Chuck Leonard, president; Shawn Miller, vice president of football (Midgets, Jr. PeeWees and Tiny Mites;) Pat Snyder, vice president of football (Jr. Midgets, PeeWees, Mighty Mites;) Beckie Klitsch, vice president of cheer; Summer Hoffman, secretary; and Christina Alvarez, treasurer.

In addition, the following board members have been appointed: Jamie Barnard, equipment manager, and Eva Snyder, concession stand, fundraiser. Volunteers are being sought for the positions of field director, Web site manager, scholastics director and player representative.

Signups online and in-person for South Tahoe Pop Warner will begin in April, with discounts for early registration. In addition, this year participants will be required to be registered before the annual physicals. A deposit will be required, with the full registration fee due before the first day of practice, which will be Aug. 4.

The next board meeting will be at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 26 in the Recreation Center Cedar Room. A complete agenda will be available on the South Tahoe Pop Warner Web site by Feb. 24. All parties interested in coaching will be required to submit an application to South Tahoe Pop Warner no later than April 1. Applications will be available on the Web site by March 1.
