Popular Alaska lecture returns

Provided to the Tahoe Daily Tribune. Robert Rumble will present "Traveling Alaska" on Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the South Lake Tahoe Branch Library.

So you missed the last presentation by Robert Rumble on “Traveling Alaska.” Well, you’re in luck. An encore presentation will begin at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the South Lake Tahoe Branch Library, 1000 Rufus Allen Blvd.

During the last presentation of “Traveling Alaska” there was not a vacant chair left. The audience traveled not only across the 49th state visiting places that you probably won’t see in any travel magazine, but also through time. Imagine being one of the thousands of ’89ers traversing the famous Chilkoot trail in search of gold, at the Kennicott mine in the 1920s or maybe a musher on the world-renowned Iditirod trail.

Just read some of comments from the last presentation:

“I’d like to take a cruise;” “It was very informative and presented in a very sensible way;” “Very informative, thanks.”

“Traveling Alaska” is a must-see for young and old alike. Make sure that you make plans to be at the South Lake Tahoe Library from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday for the one-hour tour of our country’s largest state.

For more information call the South Lake Tahoe Branch Library at (530) 573-3185.
