Potluck speakers to discuss aging

South Lake Tahoe Senior Center’s next potluck will feature speakers who will discuss aging at home.

Tina Bruess, CGRS – Hospice Services Coordinator for Barton Home Health & Hospice, and Heather Lallement, RB, CHPN, Registered Nurse, Barton Home Health & Hospice, will speak about the many facets of care that help seniors remain in their homes and maximize the golden years. Whether it’s the physical recovery from an injury, the emotional recovery from the loss of a loved one or how to infuse high-quality-living into end-of-life transitions, their expertise and insights will surely be beneficial to all, a press release stated.

The potluck will begin Friday at 5:30 p.m. the center, 3050 Lake Tahoe Blvd. Those attending the potluck are asked to bring their plates, utensils and either a salad, side dish, fruit or dessert for six to eight people. Rosemary chicken will be the main dish provided by Sandra Stephens. Guests are asked to call Sandra at 530-542-2034 to discuss what to bring so there can be a variety of dishes.



The program will begin at 6:30 p.m. For more information, call the center at 530-542-6094, Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and noon or 12:30 p.m. to 4 p.m.
