Potluck with Entertainment celebrates the Irish

The March Potluck with Entertainment will take place Friday with the sharing good food, socializing and song.

The potluck begins at 5:30 p.m. Corned beef and cabbage will be provided so participants should bring salad, dessert or a side dish for six-eight people, as well as their own plate and utensils. Call Francine at 530-541-8130, before deciding what to bring to ensure a variety of dishes.

Entertainment begins at 6:30 p.m. and features fun Irish songs sung by John Roos and Mary Stephens. Music will also be played by Mo Leonard on the piano and Tony on the guitar. There will also be sing-a-longs.

Roos has sung for “Ageless Entertainers Shows,” the “Variety Show – USO Style”, Tahoe Variety Show – Traveling Around America,” with the Tahoe Choir, the Madrigal Singers and at Renaissance Faires and the Celtic Festivals at Valhalla.

Mary Stephens has sung in “Ageless Entertainers Shows,” the Tahoe Choir, “Tahoe Variety Show-Traveling Around America” and many other shows.

Tony has played guitar in many venues, including “Open Mic with Tony” at the American Legion on Thursday evenings. He has also played guitar and sung in many shows, including “Tahoe Variety show – Traveling Around America.”

Mo Leonard plays the piano and organ, as the nusical director of St. Theresa’s Church, is in the Tahoe Choir and participated in Toccata.

Members of South Lake Tahoe Senior Citizens, Inc. attending the Potluck with Entertainment can win a $25 door prize. Guests are welcome and everyone can win cash raffle prizes.
