Prescribed fire on Spooner starts next week
The U.S. Forest expects to begin prescribed fire operations on Spooner Summit starting Tuesday, according to a statement from the agency.
Crews expect to burn about 10 acres per day, weather permitting. Operations will continue through the week as weather and conditions allow, according to the statement.
Residents and visitors can expect to see smoke from the area. Smoke-sensitive residents should consider staying indoors and keeping doors, windows and outside vents closed.
