Presidential candidates registered address in South Lake Tahoe
June 25, 2011
SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – Two people who have submitted statements of candidacy have registered the address of their campaign fund in South Lake Tahoe. Tanner Cline McCumber Bush and Savannah Jewel McCumber Bush threw their names into the hat nearly a year ago.
Both statements, viewable online, are written in similar handwriting and reveal little about the candidates. Notes in the margins say Savannah Bush is the “legal daughter” and Tanner Bush is the “legal son” of Jeb Bush, former governor of Florida. Jeb Bush does not have children by either name. Notes also allege that the website CattleClub.com, an online portal for cattle breeders around the world, is a terrorist organization.
Neither name is listed in phone books for Lake Tahoe or the surrounding area.
Also registered as candidates for the presidency are President Emperor Caesar Buonaparte of the Absolute Dictator Party and Jonathan “The Impaler” Sharkey of the Republican Party. There are currently 163 candidates for the 2012 presidential election.
When asked if she thought any of them were a joke, Julia Queen, a spokeswoman for the Federal Election Commission, replied, “We take them as our real candidates. Anybody can fill out a form for statement of candidacy.”
