Anyone hoping to re-enact the iconic opening scene of “Wayne’s World,” with its lively rendition of Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody” will have the perfect opportunity to do so this weekend at Lake Tahoe.

Queen Nation, a tribute to Queen, performs Saturday, Jan. 2, at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Lake Tahoe. The mission of the band is to pay homage to the golden age of vintage Queen concerts, when the rock group packed arenas.

“Queen Nation’s live 90-minute production of Queen’s greatest hits preserves the image, sound, and stage persona of vintage Queen,” according to the band’s online biography. “Audiences are amazed at the accuracy of Queen Nation’s live retrospective journey through such Queen songs as We Will Rock You, Bohemian Rhapsody, We Are The Champions, Crazy Little Thing Called Love, You’re My Best Friend, Another One Bites The Dust, Under Pressure and many more. They have performed in front of thousands of people at casinos, fairs, festivals and private affairs.”

Queen Nation was formed in 2004 and includes Gregory Finsley (vocals, keyboards), Mike McManus (guitar), Pete Burke (drums) and Parker Combs (bass).

Tickets to the show are $20. Doors open at 9 p.m.

Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Lake Tahoe is located at 50 U.S. Highway 50 in Stateline.
