Quilt show features ‘Fat Cat’

The 2010 Charity Raffle Quilt is on display for less than two more weeks at Fabrics Unlimited off Kingsbury Grade at 155 Shady Lane. The winner will be announced when the ticket is drawn on Sept. 26. Raffle proceeds benefit the Lake Tahoe Humane Society and Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.

An original design by Sheri Lilienthal, the quilt is king size and features a cat in the center. The eight members of the Thursday Therapy Quilters group spent more than three months working on individual 12-inch blocks. Information about raffle tickets and the quilt is available at 775-588-3211.
