Radon among topics to be discussed today at school board meeting

Radon at Zephyr Cove Elementary School will be among the topics discussed at the Douglas County School District Board of Trustees meeting today at 3:30 p.m. The meeting is at Kingsbury Middle School.

On the agenda for today’ s meeting are an enrollment report of the 2007-’08 school year, a revised five-year capital improvement plan and a discussion of the radon problem at Zephyr Cove.

Several experts from the Nevada State Health Division will be at the meeting to offer insight into explaining what radon is, its effects and possible mitigation strategies.
