Rail jam, music on Saturday at Lakeside

Snowboarders, skiers and snowskaters don’t need to leave town on Saturday to compete in their sport. Lakeside Inn and Casino is presenting the second annual Rail Jam starting Saturday afternoon.

The all-aged event will get started with registration at 3 p.m.; the cost is $20. Following practice runs, the 12-and-under class will compete at 4:45 p.m. and will be followed by the 13-17 division at 6:45 p.m. and the 18-and-older division at 8:45 p.m.

Live music will follow the rail action. Ryan Palmer of Lake Tahoe D.J. and Strive Roots will deliver the music.
