Raley’s hosting holiday bag campaign

Submitted to the Tribune

Raley’s is hosting its 27th holiday bag campaign through Dec. 31.

Raley’s Family of Fine Stores hopes to raise more than 2 million pounds of food to help local food banks meet the increased demand for food among thousands of hungry families and individuals throughout Northern California and Nevada, according to a press release.

Donations can be made at checkout counters in all Raley’s, Bel Air, Nob Hill Foods and Food Sources stores at http://www.foodforfamilies.org. This year, Raley’s will be offering a variety of fresh and nutritious items including carrots, potatoes, green salad and whole-wheat pasta.
