Ramsey family searching roots

The Ramsey family is planning a future feature in its historical society publication on Ramseys in early Tonopah and Goldfield, Nev., as well as other locations in Nevada. They would like to receive any stories, articles, photos and newspaper clippings pertaining to the Ramseys in this area.

The Ramseys, also spelled Ramsay, came from Uvaldo, Texas, to this area in the 1890s to 1910 and scattered throughout the west. They were in a lot of early Nevada and California mining camps.

The family would especially like a family tree of Harry Ramsey. His father was W.H. Ramsey and his brothers were Tom and Bladen Ramsey.

Send information to Jim Ramsey, P.O. Box 1311, Tonopah, NV 89049-1311.
