If you missed guitarist Trey Stone’s performance at the South Shore last Friday, you’ll get a second chance this Saturday, Jan. 23.

The Lake Tahoe guitarist performs a free show Saturday, Jan. 23 at Lakeside Inn & Casino.

Stone was inducted into the R&B Music Hall of Fame in October for his work with Motown’s the Undisputed Truth.

“A behind-the-scenes pioneer of the 70’s soul funk explosion, Trey was a key player in the era’s dance and funk sound and has contributed his talents as a multi-instrumentalist (guitarist/keyboards/vocals) and/or writing and production to dozens of hit recordings,” according to his online biography, “smash hits like Rose Royce’s ‘Car Wash,’ ‘Smiling Faces,’ The Undisputed Truth, ‘What’s Bootsy Doin’?’ and Bootsy Collins’ and Dee Lite’s ‘Groove is in the Heart.’ Nominated for a Grammy for his work on ‘Kissing You’ with Keith Washington, it also earned him a gold record with Warner Bros.

“Bringing his talents to South Lake Tahoe almost a decade ago, Trey has become one of the most sought out performers in the Lake Tahoe and Northern California region.”

Lakeside Inn and Casino is located at 168 U.S. Highway 50 in Stateline.
