The “My Reading Buddy” program is returning to the South Lake Tahoe Branch Library.

The dog-assisted reading-practice program for elementary school students will have sessions from 4 to 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday and Aug. 20.

Space is limited to four students per session, which lasts around 15 minutes.

Parents may pre-register readers in grades 3 through 6 by calling the Lake Tahoe Humane Society and SPCA at (530) 542-2857.
