The Barton Memorial Hospital Auxiliary Holiday Faire is approaching, and volunteers at The Attic are preparing a selection of treasures to suit everyone’s taste.

The event will feature such items as holiday decor and gifts, toys, linens, collectibles, jewelry and purses.

The fundraiser will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 4 at St. Theresa Parish Hall, Lyons Avenue and Lake Tahoe Boulevard.

There will be a Kidz Zone, where children can shop, as well as choice winter fashions from The Attic.

A photo opportunity with Santa Claus for children and adults is scheduled from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Lunch will be sold during the day. The menu features sandwiches, sodas, chips and desserts.

The auxiliary’s famous cheese balls will be available for purchase for $7.50 each. They will also be sold from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 7 and Nov. 19 in the Barton Memorial Hospital Snowflake Lobby and Nov. 14 at Carson Valley Medical Center.

The cheese balls are made with the same secret recipe as in past years and are a wonderful addition to holiday parties.

All proceeds from the holiday faire and sale of the cheese balls stay in the area and help in the purchase of medical equipment at Barton Memorial Hospital.

Event chairs are Margaret Grodzik, Arlyce Guerry and Claire Hair.
