Rec center the place to be after school

Young students are welcome to come after school to programs at the South Lake Tahoe Recreation Department.

The Kinder Club is from 12:30 to 6:30 p.m. It is a recreation program designed for kindergartners. Some of the activities include games, cooking, science experiments, crafts, ice skating, swimming, reading and field trips. The cost is $12.50.

School bus transportation to the rec center is provided by the Lake Tahoe Unified School District.

Kids Club meets from 3:15 to 6:30 p.m. and is for students through the fifth grade.

Children can enjoy games, crafts, and swimming, or do their homework at the center. Cost is $5.

Both clubs are open during minimum school days, snow days and holidays.

Saint Theresa School students are welcome.
