Recovery center receives donations

Sierra Recovery Center, a nonprofit organization serving the South Lake Tahoe community, has been the recipient of several generous donations. The center provides substance abuse counseling and treatment of both on outpatient and residential basis.

In April the Sunrisers Kiwanis Club awarded SRC $500 to be used for client services. Accepting the award on behalf of the agency was executive director Betsy Port and employees Angela Brown and Mary Albright.

Camp Richardson Resort donated chairs, beds and linens that will be used at Sierra Recovery Center’s two residential treatment homes, at a transitional living facility and a soon to be opened facility serving the homeless population at South Lake Tahoe.

Wal-mart of Carson City also donated new chairs to be used in the outpatient office and at the residences.

Sierra Recovery Center is grateful for these donations and welcomes similar donations by community businesses and individuals. SRC is located at 972 Tallac Ave. For more information call (530) 541-5190.
